In modern day politics, the press has a substantial amount of influence over the general public, global leaders, and lawmakers. Thousands of newspapers are published by news agencies daily to comprise current events. Their job is to maintain the connection between the United Nations and the rest of the population by updating them with reports on events taking place in committees at the conference. As the Press Corps Committee at EBMUN, you are responsible for withholding that connection by staying informed about the actions of other committees and reporting them.
The Press Corps does not follow an agenda like typical general assembly committees in MUN. In contrast to a traditional MUN committee, there are no topics to address, and the objective is to report what has been taking place at the conference. Delegates will be representing various news agencies and reporting the conference based on information gathered from other committees.
